Moving Image: Research self portrait

I would like my video to look as if it is amateur footage, similar to The Blair Witch Project. Trailer below:

Also similar to the Paranormal Activity movies, therefore using tripods. Trailer below:

I would like to make a story line, with a transition of myself in every day, normal life to a possessed state, then finally the possession. At this point in time I'm not sure how I want the ending to be; do I leave it as a cliff hanger or do I include an after exorcism clip, either suggesting that the exorcism worked or it did not?

For the exorcism scene I would like to use my Canon DSLR 550D as my main camera and have it on a tripod at a high angle capturing everything in the room. I would also like to have someone else in the room with a handheld video camera to give the amateur effect. I would like to use another camera stationed somewhere else in the room for a different angle and perspective.

For the 'normal - everyday' scenes I will be using my Canon and a video camera and taking shots on each and intertwining them to make my film. I will have someone follow me filming and I will do some filming myself. When I am being filmed I will get the person filming to track my movements. I will get them to do close ups of my face. The close ups will be taken while I am 'normal' and when I am 'possessed'.

I will do some experimentation with a video camera to see how the footage looks and how I can incorporate it with footage taken on my Canon.
