Deep depth of field
This was achieved by using a small aperture to get everything in focus. The photo could be improved by taking it again in better lighting conditions and positioning the objects further apart to see how far the camera can focus.
Shallow depth of field
This was achieved by using a large aperture to get only the object in the foreground in focus. Again, the photo could be improved by taking it in better lighting and repositioning the objects so they are further apart.
Freezing movement
This was achieved by using a fast shutter speed and myself spinning around fast to capture the movement of my hair but my face is in focus. This photo is slightly under exposed, a larger aperture could be used to resolve this and better lighting conditions.
Blurring an isolated object
This was achieved by having the camera on a tripod and focusing on me whilst Monica walked toward me spinning her bottle. This meant that everything was in focus apart from the water bottle which was blurry. This image could be improved by thinking about what we want blurred and what we want in focus - refining the idea behind the photo.
