RRaW Week 1b Exercise 2b 27/2 Descriptive writing slides

The old woman sat amongst the flax. The flax she had woven into a beautiful artwork. Upon her lap was a soft, white cat with a black face. The look of content on the cats face mirrored that of the old woman; it was a very heart-warming sight. The purring cat was tucked underneath a brightly coloured quilt which was also made by the old woman. Her love of craft and weaving and telling stories through her work made the atmosphere around her happy and comforting.

The sound of laughter of the other women weaving nearby was cheerful. It matched the yellows, blues, reds and pinks of the old woman's quilt. The quilt was so bright in the sunlight; it radiated off the old woman's face and exposed the happiness in her expression and her humble smile. The cat squeaked a meow of delight as the old woman stroked its smooth, warm fur and it nestled into her purple robe and went back to sleep in the warmth of the afternoon sun.
