Lens with Rebecca: Research - Natural light camera experimentation

Natural lighting - Outside vs Inside - Black & White vs Colour

Inside lighting, black and white/colour.
Inside lighting does not differ too much from outside lighting I discovered, however this could be due to the time of day as the sun was shining through the window where this photo was taken and same with the outside photos, the sun was also present. The colours are more vibrant in this image than the colours in the colour image taken outside, however I do prefer the black and white.

I definitely prefer black and white to colour. The shapes and tones in the image are much more defined and it makes the image more dramatic - gives it more character. I will experiment more with using colour as I definitely want to include some colour in my final series. Possibly a black and white image with a few colour elements here and there? I need to experiment with this idea and expand on it to see if I do want to incorporate it in my work.

Outside lighting, black and white vs colour
The colour image was not as successful as the black and white image. It looks washed out, this may be due to the outside light as I noticed the colour was more vivid in the image taken inside.
The black and white certainly turned out more successful than the colour in terms of lighting i.e. enhancing shadows and highlights
